FLAG International Afghanistan (FIA), a local, AISA-registered subsidiary of the experienced USAID-contractor FLAG International, manages a wide portfolio of development projects on behalf of USAID, GTZ, DEG, DFID, and other clients and donors, including the Afghan MRRD as a Facilitating Partner of the World Bank-funded National Solidarity Program.  FLAG’s mission is to bring its economic and community development activities to the areas where it is most needed, In support of this goal, FIA is currently implementing projects in the most security-challenged areas of the country, including Ghazni, Logar, Paktika, Paktiya, Zabul, Uruzgan and Kandahar.

The local staff of FI offers a number of services to Afghan entrepreneurs, firms and business associations looking for outside technical, managerial, or financial support as well as to investors looking for good investment opportunities in transitional economies.

FI Kabul has provided services to SMEs, local government authorities, banks and financial institutions, as well as investment and economic development agencies.  Among our major areas of work are: (Business Development Services (BDS) center operation and administration;Finance facilitation and debt/equity finance;Business plan preparation, review, and evaluation; Agribusiness development and TA in food production,  processing and marketing; SME development services – training, management and research; Creating marketing linkages for agricultural producers and processors; Agricultural market analysis, feasibility studies and industrial sector surveys; Finance and accounting training).
